Terms of Service
Last updated: July 9, 2026 · Cleat is in public beta
Welcome to Cleat. By using the app you agree to these terms. They're written to be readable, not to trap you. Questions? support@oncleat.com.
Using Cleat
- You must be old enough to legally use an online service where you live (at least 13).
- Provide accurate information and don't impersonate others.
- Check in honestly — don't post fake check-ins or manipulate the map.
- Be respectful. No harassment, threats, hate speech, or illegal activity.
- Don't upload content you don't have the right to share, or that's obscene or unlawful.
Location and privacy
Cleat shows your check-ins to other boaters as described in our Privacy Policy. You control when you appear by choosing when to check in. Location data is approximate and may be inaccurate — never treat it as precise.
Your content
You keep ownership of the photos and information you post. By posting, you give Cleat permission to display that content within the app. We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these terms or that we reasonably believe are harmful.
Beta software, provided "as is"
Cleat is early-stage beta software. It's provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee it will be accurate, uninterrupted, or error-free. To the fullest extent allowed by law, Cleat and its creators aren't liable for any damages arising from your use of the app, including anything related to reliance on location, conditions, or other information shown.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the app evolves; we'll update the date above. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Tennessee, USA. Reach us at support@oncleat.com.
